Department of endovascular surgery and angiography is a medical – diagnostic department of the “Kyiv Municipal Heart Center.” The department is equipped with most modern scanning systems that allow to have every single angiographic study and intervention up to international standards. During the research and interventions the patient is controlled by life support systems. Department represented by skilled experts who were trained in hospitals in Europe and the U.S.


List of diagnostic techniques used in the department of surgery and angiography are following:

— Selective angiography of the coronary arteries (coronary angiography)

— Selective angiography of the carotid and vertebral arteries

— Selective and non-selective angiography of the renal arteries;

— Selective angiography of the arteries of the upper and lower extremities;

— Selective angiography of the pulmonary arteries (angiography)

— Selective angiography of the arteries of the abdominal cavity;

— Selective angiography of the upper and lower hollow vein

— Selective angiography of the veins of the upper and lower extremities;

—Diagnostic catheterization of the heart and great vessels in congenital and acquired heart disease.

 

The list of endovascular interventions performed in the department of surgery and angiography are following:

— Coronary stenting;

— Intravascular ultrasound of the coronary arteries

— Stenting of the carotid and vertebral arteries;

— Stenting of renal arteries;

— Stenting of arteries of the upper and lower extremities;

— Endovascular aortic aneurysm of the thoracic and abdominal aorta;

— Cava filter implantation;

— Alcohol septal ablation;

— Balloon dilatation of the aortic valve stenosis of the valve and pulmonary valve in congenital and acquired heart;

— Endovascular closure of atrial septal defects with occluders;

— Endovascular closure of ventricular septal defects with occluders;

— Endovascular closure of open arterial (botallov) flow;

— Uterine artery embolization for uterine fibroids;

— Removal of foreign bodies from the heart and great vessels.
