On July 3, 2019, a team of specialists from the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine – cardiac surgeons Maxim Rotar, Alexey Polishchuk, cardiologist Olena Shnyrkova – visited the Sumy Regional Cardiology Center, where a consultative reception of patients with heart pathology was conducted. 42 adult patients were examined, 17 of them requiring cardiac surgery.
On the same day, Sumy interns were able to attend a master class for the management of patients before and after surgical intervention and ultrasound diagnostics of valvular heart diseases.
