Doctor Victor Shevchenko has been working as a cardiac surgeon since 1987. The main directions of his activity are coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) and surgical treatment of pulmonary embolism. His experience includes internship in the leading hospitals of Germany and Russia. Dr. Shevchenko is a Member of Association for Cardio-vascular Surgeon of Ukraineа.

 Ischemic heart disease is the most common pathology of myocardium. Today, there are two efficient methods of its treatment – coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) and percutaneous coronary angioplasty (PTCA) with stents. The main purpose of these operations is to decrease the symptoms of myocardial ischemia with the risk of development of heart attack and enable a patient to conduct the normal way of living.

 THE FOLLOWINGS OPERATIONS ARE PERFOMED:

·        CABG for multivessels disease;

·        CABG with systemic ventricle restoration;

·        CABG in combination with heart valve replacement or repair;

·        stenting of coronary arteries.

The department is equipped with modern diagnostic devices.  All facilities in the patient’s rooms make the staying in KCHC absolutely home-like.
